In the olden days there was a huge problem with people w/out a quality education who could not write or read. So if they had to "sign" a document they would make a mark to identify them since they couldn't sign their name.I think it's cool that harpoon has a signature and an awesome unique style,talent, amazing skill and killer work. But the little added touch of his Watsonesque mark or profile is neat too. This is on the gas tank of a friend that had the poon man paint his bike. Saw it in the flesh. It's amazing.
